I’ll be taking a break from posting self portrait style photographs, and focusing my attention on photographing and posting more test shoots with models.
—forgot to mention in the video, but aside from the photos that I’ll be taking and posting during the summer, I’m planning on posting a lot more DIYs, videos, and gifs :)

The stuffed rabbit asked, “What is real?” And the rabbit asked, “Does it hurt?” And the horse said, “Sometimes.” “Does it happen all at once?” “It takes a long time. Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, your eyes dropped out, and you get loose in the joints. But these things don’t matter at all because you are real. You can’t be ugly except to people who don’t understand.”
The Veleveteen Rabbit. One of my all time favorite books.
Anonymous asked: hiya elle, im thirteen, and im trying to 'find myself'. its quite odd, but i'd like some advice on what i should do. i dont like being swept up in the crowd, but i hate sticking out, what would you do? im asking you because you are the most beautiful, confident person on the internet that i know, so thank you for that<3
Aww thank you! This really hits close to home because my niece just turned 12 and she is one of my most favorite people in the world, so I will try to answer this in the same way that I would if she asked me. Thirteen is a really tough age, and if anyone tells you that your teen years are the best years of your life, they are lying or not remembering correctly. When I moved to a rural high school at age 14 I stood out and I hated it. I wanted to dress the way that I wanted to and be the person I wanted to be, but I felt like my surroundings were holding me back. If I could go back and live through those years again, I would choose to not blend in with the crowd and be who I truly am. Your peers might not appreciate it at first and it will be a little frustrating, but eventually people will start to look up to you for being brave enough to be you. You could even start to inspire people around you to be themselves too. The key is finding that confidence in yourself, which was especially hard for me to do, but once you do no one will be able to say anything to you that will change how you feel. Finding yourself is a life-long process, and you will learn more about the world and yourself every day. I still have so much to learn myself. Just know that things do get better! Being yourself will make these years much more enjoyable for you. I wish you all the best! ❤
Anonymous asked: What do we wear under see through shirts/dresses? I have a cute dress from H&M but its too see through I don't know what to wear under! Thanks :)
There are actually a lot of different things you can wear under sheer dresses depending on the look you are going for. If you want a more minimal look, and the focus to be mostly on the sheer dress, try wearing a nude bandeau/tank top and a nude cotton miniskirt like this one. Or if you want to add color and texture to the outfit, you can wear a patterned bralette or tank in a pretty color so it stands out underneath the dress, and then pair that with a thin pair of shorts. In the look I just posted, I was just wearing a pink leotard and a pair of lace shorts underneath. Most people would probably recommend a white slip, but I love the way that sheer fabric looks, so I’d feel funny putting something underneath that would completely take away the sheerness of the dress.
